The Veterinary Student Network Abroad had it’s humble beginning as the homepage Veterinary School Down Under created by Stinyexoticvet.   During the application process it was a painful reality that all the information needed to make the life changing decision of studying veterinary science in another country was not easy to find.  The university websites were very good but they did not contain the very important information like getting your pets there, where to shop, cost of living, and any contacts of students currently going through the program.

Emails started to pour in from visitors to the Veterinary School Down Under homepage with many people asking the exact same questions that Stinyexoticvet was asking when researching her options.  It was clear that a database needed to be created to store all the information that was being discovered and the Veterinary Student Network Abroad was created.

The Veterinary Student Network Abroad is the premier location for everything to do with being a vet student, with the emphasis on being a vet student abroad. It is made by vet students for vet students and is designed to accept contributions from vet students and others all over the world.  You can create a profile, chat in real time in the chat rooms, and have your questions answered in the forums. Match yourself with a mentor and contact alumni.   Pick a university and take a virtual tour of the facilities offered at each vet school and be able to make an educated decision about where you want to spend the next 4, 5, or 6 years of your life.   Anyone can create an account and the more information contributed, the more useful this site will be for everyone.
